Connect Spoki to VS Code and GitHub Copilot Chat (Agent mode). Prefer Spoki login when VS Code offers Auth; use an API key only if login is not available.
Server URL:
https://mcp.spoki.com/v2/mcp
← Get Started with Spoki MCP · Authentication and URL
Option A: Spoki login (recommended) #
- Install VS Code 1.99+ and GitHub Copilot Chat. Sign in to Copilot. On Business/Enterprise, ask an admin to enable MCP servers in Copilot.
- Run MCP: Open User Configuration from the Command Palette (
Ctrl+Shift+P/Cmd+Shift+P), or create.vscode/mcp.json. - Add the server block below. Replace
YOUR_SPOKI_OAUTH_CLIENT_IDwith the VS Code client ID from Spoki (Integrations / support). Do not put secrets in the file. - Save. Use Auth / Start above the server when VS Code shows it.
- Complete Spoki login in the browser, pick the account, click Allow.
- Open Copilot Chat → Agent, confirm Spoki tools, then ask: “What tags do I have in Spoki?”

"url": "https://mcp.spoki.com/v2/mcp",

}
}
}
If Auth fails with a registration or redirect error, ask support@spoki.com for a VS Code client, or use Option B.
Option B: API key #
- Create a key in Spoki: Integrations → Spoki MCP → Request Api Key.
- Paste this into
mcp.json, save, startspoki, and enter the key when prompted (VS Code stores it; do not commit keys). - In Copilot Chat Agent mode, confirm tools, then ask: “What tags do I have in Spoki?”

}
}
}
You’re done when… #
- Spoki tools appear in Copilot Chat Agent mode.
- A new Agent chat can answer a simple Spoki question.
Common problems #
- Tools missing: Finish Allow (or enter a valid key), Start the server again, open a new Agent chat.
- Org blocks MCP: Copilot Business/Enterprise admins must enable MCP servers in Copilot.
- Wrong account or bad URL: Clear auth and sign in again; always use
https://mcp.spoki.com/v2/mcp.
