It’s important to clarify that when you activate a number on the Spoki platform, you’re essentially creating a new WhatsApp account through the official APIs. As with any WhatsApp service, each phone number can only be associated with one account at a time, and vice versa.
For this reason, it’s not possible to use the same number for two accounts simultaneously – neither for your personal/business WhatsApp account and the Spoki platform at the same time.
What happens when you activate a number on Spoki? #
To associate the number with the Spoki platform through WhatsApp API, you must first manually delete the existing WhatsApp account (simply uninstalling the app is not sufficient). This step is necessary because WhatsApp allows only one active account per phone number.

If you wish to use a number already active on WhatsApp Business with the Spoki platform, you can do so by following these steps:
- Delete the existing account: Access the WhatsApp Business app and go to Settings > Account > Delete account
- Proceed with activation: Once the account is deleted, you can associate the number with Spoki
- Consider the consequences: You will permanently lose all conversation history from the previous account
